is a free game development tool designed for Windows-based PCs', created by Epic Games, Inc.

Unreal Development Kit (UDK) caters gamers and developers alike with complete and fully integrated game editing environment for enhancing computer game graphics, environment and visual scripting solution. It’s also a free version of Unreal Engine 3, the software development framework used to create computer and video games, 3D simulations, films and more.

This latest version of UDK
leverages DirectX 11 support, high-end rendering features, NVIDIA APEX physics technology and other engine upgrades.

The DirectX features with UDK includes Tesselation and displacement, geometry shaders, Multisampled textures and Shader model 5.

New UDK version users can now utilize its high-end rendering features by applying imaged-based reflections with varying glossiness across surfaces, anisotropic HDR highlights and anti-aliasing. It also includes
adaptive Bokeh depth of field (DOF) for lens flares effects and D
ynamically shadowed image-based reflections . For Rendering: users can now apply scale effects and use tiled normals on fluid surfaces, giving wet surfaces a realistic fluidity.
